Welcome to PrettySocial, where I blog about my super interesting life and things that interest me while being out and about and, well… social!
I’m trying to provide real value through my own experiences. Whether they be my adventures out in the world, my career (and the many, many mistakes I make there), my lifestyle, things I’m loving at the moment and things that I don’t think are worth your time.
IT’s going to be a bumpy ride, but it’s going to be one hell of a rollercoaster. I’ll try not to get too personal, after all, I know no-one wants to read about another mid-20s girls ins and outs as she tries to find her way in the world.
The History of Hannah
This is the boring bit! But I suppose you’ll want to put a face to the blog and know that I am, in fact, a real person who pours hours into and headed to the big smoke. Not London. Liverpool.
It was here where I began my University degree in International Journalism. Somehow, by the skin of my teeth, I passed with a 2:1. It was during this time that I realised that the career was not for me. It was something I went into hoping to change the world but I soon became pretty jaded by the whole process and cut the cord as soon as the degree landed in my hand.
It’s been a bit bumpy from there, but it’s safe to say I’m happy and healthy and still with a whole load of dreams.
I now live with my incredible partner and our two doggos. Both rescues, both bully breeds. Have mercy on my soul. I love them to pieces but there are some days when I truly feel like tearing my hair out. I can only imagine what life will be like when a small human enters our lives.
Life at Pretty Social
Life here on the blog is going to be your run of the mill, average lifestyle blog. Not that it’s going to be boring of course! I want to break away from the pattern of the generation of YouTube who self-indulge and think that everyone on the internet cares about their life or what is happening in said life.
Pretty Social is about building a community of millennials who all look out for each other. I’ll be providing reviews, indulging in experiences that can benefit others and trying to provide helpful advice to help everyone get through this mess we call the 21st century.
I’ll try and not make it too girly. But, at the end of the day, I am a girl. There will be talk of make up, talk of fashion, talk of that TV show that is super girly and men swear they don’t watch but as SOON as you mention Blair and Chuck they’re all over a hot gossip session. But, I’m not OTT (at least, I like to think I’m not). I also like gaming (with that one game that my partner introduced me to), technology, cars, careers, a lot of things that society tells us is just for men. They’ll get a mention too!
Because this is my life, and you’re going to see every part of it.
